Rooftop Garden Project
This was a conversion of an unused 25'x150' Manhattan rooftop into a beautiful rooftop garden space.
E&A Contracting designed and constructed all the cedar planter boxes. The unique design keeps the wood impermeable from the inside; starting with a base of marine grade plywood, excess water is collected in a heavy duty liner and then drains through the floor.
E&A Contracting had a choice in where to subcontract the other woodwork, (the arches, trellis, etc) so they chose to keep it local and all materials and fabrication was done right in Orange County, NY and then assembled on site.
The result is a luxurious and serene greenspace with a fabulous view of the city.
